We at Bell Electronic Technologies would like to pass along some care and use tips that will ensure your AeroPerfect Digital Control Throw Meter will last for years. It is a precision tool and should be used and stored as such. Here are some pointers:
When not in use, store your AeroPerfect in a dust free environment.
Although your AeroPerfect is rugged, take care to not drop it- treat it as you would any precision instrument.
Keep the MU-1800-I measuring and backing plates dust free so they will maintain their anti-skid properties. It is recommended that the measuring and backing plates be put together (rubber to rubber), when not in use in order to minimize dust buildup. For long-term storage, the plates should be placed in a plastic bag. The rubber can be cleaned with alcohol.
Do not use any solvents (including alcohol) to clean in the vicinity of the MU-1800-I. The encoder module within the measuring unit can be damaged.
Do not use any solvents (including alcohol) to clean the AP3 display as it will fog the display window. (A soft cloth such as for cleaning glasses can be used to wipe away dust).
Be careful to not over-tighten the MU-1800-I measuring plate mounting screws as the threads may strip.
Avoid putting the MU-1800-I directly in contact with a magnetic field (such as a servo or other electric motor). This will not cause any damage, but may compromise the accuracy of your measurements.
